Sorry to hear about PC Scarecrow. He did his job well as even I slowed down and I knew it was there! Newtown Road is getting worse for speeding drivers and nothing seems to make them slow down. I doubt those responsible for speeding in Warsash will read this as they are probably too busy to worry about reading residents association boards but on the off chance they do read this PLEASE SLOW DOWN! Someone will get killed and remember if its speeding its MANSLAUGHTER charges you are looking at

Lastly please we don't want these . It was suggested hat we push for the provision of warning signs similar to those in Hedge End which warn that “anti social driving” is discouraged. All it has done in Hedge End is to give it a bad reputation. We need signs that light up above a certain speed and can be moved around the village. A bit like PC Scarecrow actually, which is where I came in............

Ivor,

Many thanks to you and all at WRA for your kind donation to the Warsash Sea Cadets. Now that the cadets are on the water, all sorts of extra costs are incurred so your help is greatly appreciated.

I was unable to make the February meeting but read to by dismay that members voted in favour of lobster pots being stacked in front of the sailing club. If I had been there I would have members how they would feel about having them in front of their house, blocking off thier sea view. There are several thousand members of the club and it is used intensively by many Warsash residents. So I am apalled the issue has been brushed under the carpet on the spurious excuse that it is tradition. I am all in favour of tradition but that did not involve one small group being allowed to cause offence to another (much larger) group

My nephew was visiting from Canada a couple of weeks ago and my daughter decided to educate him in "proper beer and pubs". They went to the Ferryman where they found themselves joining in the WRA quiz. My nephew was fascinated by the whole experience and the wooden spoon now proudly lives in Canada! Sounds like great fun!

As a regular visitor to Warsash I am amazed there is such a fuss concerning the lobster pots.Surely they are part of village history and should remain so. After all there are more important issues. I do hope you will give this matter your careful consideration.

As a serving member of the Committee, I would like to endorse this website and welcome any comments from Warsash residents. I am a local girl with family connections dating back to the early 1900's. I have two children attending Hook-with-Warsash and Brookfield School, my husband and I run a successful local plumbing business (Barrington Heating and Plumbing Services) and I work locally at Locks Heath Junior School. I feel very passionate about the local area in which I live and will endeavour to make it as pleasurable place to live for future generations.
